My passion for telling people's stories surfaced as a young reporter at two Chicago newspapers and then as an editor/writer for three national magazines. That spawned my 30-year career writing primarily biographies; I also write personal memoirs and organization histories. 

 

I've won some accolades along the way, but a much greater reward has been helping authors navigate the twists and turns of the writing process to create their own books for posterity. I love seeing the final product!
